Mark Gottfredson is a director of Bain & Company’s office in Dallas, Texas, which he founded in 1990. Over the past 34+ years, he has advised chief executives and top-level managers in a wide range of industries. He has held a range of leadership positions in the firm, including heading the Global Performance Improvement practice, and as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He is also a leader in the firm’s business strategy, Industrial and Performance Improvement practices.

Gottfredson was named to Consulting Magazine’s list of Top 25 Consultants globally. He is the author of “The Breakthrough Imperative” and many HBR articles including his recent one;
“Strategy-Making in Turbulent Times,” he has been published extensively in publications such as the Harvard Business Review, European Strategy, the World Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Business Week.
